Kicking off New Year’s Eve weekend in Que Pasa Lounge was an unforgettable performance from one of Eagle Pass’ own, Gary Hobbs. Gary is a well renowned singer, song writer and actor that grew up in Eagle Pass, where he began taking piano lessons at the early age of 8 years old. Gary played a major role in making Tejano what it is today, which is another reason why he is well loved and respected. He filled the lounge and the attendees say they had an amazing experience.
“I had been wanting to see Gary Hobbs for a while now, and I was so excited to see he’d be at the casino while I was visiting my hometown over the holidays. I attended his performance with my sister and we had the best experience!” said Paulina.
The next day, DJ Lucky J joined casino guests in Que Pasa Lounge for their weekly DJ nights. DJ Lucky J always spins the best tunes, and goes with the vibe of the audience and their requests. The same night – a winner was selected for the final Lucky Drawing of 2023 for $60,000.
On New Year’s Eve, there were even more exciting events for casino guests. At the casino’s fine dining restaurant, Azul, there was a Moet & Chandon New Year’s Eve dinner that guests enjoyed.
There were live performances throughout the casino floor with show girls, a fireworks show and a concert by Baby Bash. The fireworks show started at 8pm and there was synchronized music for the fireworks broadcasted on KINL Power 92.7. The fireworks lasted over 20 minutes, and were visible to everyone in the area.
Baby Bash sold out, and had an amazing show where he sang some of his original songs (“like Suga Suga”) and the newer ones like “Do You Love”.
Right after the year turned to 2024, Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino gave away $20,024 to one lucky winner.
